Rejuvenators

Bitumen is a non-renewable resource. When used in asphalt pavements, it will oxidize and become stiff and brittle. Rejuvenators can bring back the original properties in an oxidized bitumen.

Abior’s rejuvenators are based on industrial vegetable oils. Use of rejuvenators allows higher reclaimed asphalt (RAP and RAS) content in production, reducing virgin material consumption and carbon footprint. Rejuvenators can be added into the bitumen or sprayed directly on to recycled asphalt.

  • Anova® 1825
    Anova® 1825 is a bio-based rejuvenator that chemically balances and reactivates aged bitumen to enhance performance, durability and binder aging resistance. Anova® 1825 also supports lowering compaction temperatures.
  • Anova® 1817
    Anova® 1817 rejuvenator is a high performance bio-based recycling agent designed to reactivate aged bitumen allowing for the incorporation of high levels of both recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) and recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) into hot mix asphalt that delivers enhanced performance, durability and binder aging resistance. Anova Rejuvenator also supports lowering compaction temperatures.
  • Revive® EU
    Revive® EU is a bio-based additive added to improve the ease and efficiency in which highly oxidized bitumen is extracted from RAP and reincorporated back into the new mix and pavement. Revive® EU is used to facilitate higher RAP usage levels without compromising asphalt performance.
