Waxes can be used as an additive to improve many different asphalt mixture properties. By adding different amount of wax the asphalt mix can tailormade with improved workability, reduced production temperature or better stability.
- Hybit®The use of Hybit® (former known as Sasol Wax) takes the asphalt application to the next, new level. During the cooling phase Hybit® starts crystalize at 90°C and forms a lattice structure in the bitumen which has a stiffening effect to turn up the durability. Deformation resistance increases significantly, without impairing low-temperature performance.
